In my mind, there have always been two paths I can choose to travel. One is the lifestyle I live now where I go and do as I see and please at concerts, art events, and other such activity. Two is the "family life" where one gets married, has babies, and works the rest of their life away to support that. Seeing Cory's daughter at this show (and also seeing T.J.'s little one at the previous Both Sides event) made me realize that those two lives (a single person's hobbies/activities vs. taking care of a family) can co-exist. If one chooses a healthy lifestyle and attends cultural events rich in art and music, then one mingles with a crowd in an environment that is safe for children. If one raises their child to be open-minded, inquisitive, and well-mannered then adults will welcome those children at their events with wide open arms. In addition to the impressive talent I witnessed, music I heard, and art that I saw- that little girl won my heart and opened my eyes. In more ways than one, this was a very memorable night for me.
